Awoken Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

        "Skylar Clouds! We got more ponies around here to kill!" Aero Blood called to me. "Keep working!"

        I managed to work as usual, but with that thought of not working seem to heavy me down. Last night, it was difficult sleeping from the screams outside my room, AND they were in my dreams too. I kept having to cover my ears with my pillow, trying to block out the screams, but the screams had been transparent enough to go through the pillow and into my ears again.

          After a few minutes, my face was sweating with fear as I pulled the trigger to send another life to hell again. But as the knife was approaching a tan female Pegasus with long brown hair, I lost my control and switched the trigger to stop it. The knife stopped about an inch away from the Pegasus. She opened her eyes and glanced at me.

     Realizing what I've done, I looked up in fear to see Aero Blood from a distance, watching me, unamused of what I've done. I flattened my ears, then slowly went back to the trigger and pulled the trigger, and the knife drove into the Pegasus's chest. I spotted Mystic Stars, Aero's younger sister, next to Aero, seeing what I did. She was smiling a bit, but then Aero faced Mystic. Then Mystic flattened her ears and saddened, walking backwards away into her own room.

          What did I do? Why did I almost stop killing a life? I sighed. Sorrow Cracks's shadow loomed over me a bit. "Skylar. I'm disappointed. You were foolish to do something like that!"
             I barred my teeth. "I really didn't mean it… it's just-"
           "Aero Blood wants to see you tomorrow morning. You got that?!" Sorrow Cracks flashed his wings angrily as I became startled by him. For the first time ever, he was turning against me.
       "I….yes Sorrow." I stammered, backing down for now.

        After I went to my daily lunch break, Peanut Butter Gummies ran over. "I heard about what happened." He spoke sadly. "You tried did you?"
        "I didn't do it…I…I think I'm losing my mind." I spoke.
          Vaccine Hooves stomped his hoof. "No! You aren't! You need to get out of here!"
         With the sentence on my mind, I shook my head and neighed. "Maybe I should."
          Drug Healer sighed. "But you're risking your life, Skylar."
          "I'm doing it to save Ponyville, Cloudsdale, and Equestria.." I spoke. "On Monday."
                       "On Monday."
